Early in the 20th century, January 1, 1901, about 40 years following Kansas’s admission to the Union as the 34th state, our bank officially opened its doors. The U.S. population was 76 million; William McKinley was President of the United States; and about 250 banks were operating in Kansas. During our 116 years of existence, we have seen 388 Kansas banks come and go, failed, closed or become inactive. Our stamina and survival instincts are deeply rooted in the time-honored ideals of integrity and hard work with attention to details, while also treating customers with the utmost respect and care. The essence of our culture and standards is about sticking by our customers during both the good times and the troubled times. It is about always trying to do the right thing.

Beginning January 1, 2018, and over the succeeding months, we will unveil a new banking model in celebration of an exciting new journey to enhance our operations, facilities, technology and overall service deliverables. ?Under our new leadership, new ownership, an expanded board of directors, and a full-service residential lending focus, 

we are fabricating the stage for new beginnings and an exciting future to span the next 100 years.
